Tasting Note
This is a rich, modern style of Bordeaux, delicious on both the nose and palate. Fresh cassis notes with hints of darker black fruit, tobacco, graphite, violets and good levels of toast. Silky in the mouth with very fine-grained tannins, well-balanced acidity and a superb length of flavour. A rich, dense, structured Bordeaux. Outstanding value for a wine of this quality
Food Pairing
grilled Hangar steak, roast duck, slow-braised smoked meats.

Part of Domaines Martin, which also owns Château Gloria in Saint-Julien, this wine benefits from a classed-growth winery's attention to detail. The wine is rich, dense and structured. Its black-plum and blackberry fruits are rich, sustained by fine tannins and acidity. It's a wine to age, so drink from 2024-Roger Voss

Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the Bel Air Gloria has a ripe, clean and pure bouquet with attractive dark cherries and blackberry scents, neatly integrated with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe dark cherries laced with spice and black tea, nicely structured with an almost heady but attractive finish. Enjoy this lush Cru Bourgeois over the next five to seven years. Tasted-Neal Martin
